Release Day!

Yesterday my new live album, recorded during my performances in the Netherlands last fall, was released! I hope that it will be appreciated for how real it is. I admit I was initially nervous about releasing a record like this, with no accompaniment or production to speak of. And choosing them songs to include was a stressful experience for me, because listening through the recordings made me realize how often I am not perfect.... But it is real, and I hope at least some people will enjoy that. If nothing else, for me it's very special as memories of that experience.

And I really think a few of the songs actually benefit from the stripped-down versions. Some of the emotional aspects of the stories come through much more clearly in these versions.

I was very happy to receive a few messages like this one yesterday, from folks who had picked up copies!
